As a gamer in most First Person Shooters, one of the most important tools in your arsenal is your keyboard. While the mouse controls the aim and firing of selected weapons, the keyboard controls movement such as moving forward, backwards, jumping and crouching. Many times there has been situations were multiple keys needed to be pressed down, maybe as many as six at one time. The problem: most keyboards cannot take that many keys held down at one time and commands are either not sent or dropped all together. How about response time, have you ever noticed any lag between the key you pressed to perform an action and the action actually taking place? Razer says they have the answer: The Arctosa.   The Arctosa is a gaming keyboard that boasts some impressive specifications as well as looks.

Taking a trip way back to 1999. I remember going into CompUSA and picking up a Razer Boomslang. At the time was the most advanced mouse on the planet, and while other manufactures were delving into optical mice at the time, the boomslang still used a ball. Reviews from that time states that the Boomslang could track better than most optical mice it was competing with. I used mine for about 4 years until I finally wore it out.

Rumors of Razer's demise surfaced later on but thanks to a little luck and some tech-savvy investors Razer was born anew and hasn't stopped producing true gaming products. I have purchased every Razer mouse that has graces the shelves and all of them have stood up to their names; this is the first keyboard from Razer I have used.

Razer collaborates with gamers to develop, manufacture and market cutting-edge gaming peripherals utilizing proprietary technologies that give gamers
the competitive edge. We reinvented the computer gaming industry by bringing this competitive edge to gamers when professional computer gaming was in
its infancy. In the mid 90s, with the advent of networked gaming and competitive first-person-shooter (FPS) games, gamers found that their legacy
peripherals were inhibiting rather than enhancing their game play.

In 1999, the Razer Boomslang™, the stuff of gaming legends, was launched after much research. Featuring an unprecedented precision of up to 2000 dpi
when other mice maxed out at 400 dpi, the Razer Boomslang, powered by proprietary opto-mechanical technology, offered up to five times the accuracy of
other gaming mice. It came as no surprise when professional gamers worldwide such as Jonathon “Fatal1ty” Wendell and Sujoy Roy readily adopted the Razer
Boomslang as their gaming mouse of choice. In just two years, more than 100,000 Razer Boomslangs were sold by Christmas.
